Hi all,

Can anyone help with a quick (and possibly stupid) question:

Are there any problems with fitting a 185/200cc engine kit to a Series 1?

I'm sure I've seen TS1 engined Series 1's, but what is confusing me is that Innocenti felt the need to strengthen the TV175 frames (i.e. 'ridgeback' ones).

Any opinions/clarifications welcome.

I think the "Ridgebacks" were so modified due to a batch of sub-standard frames- Innocenti decided to "repair" the batch rather than simply replace with a new frame, which in the end, cost a lot more than the replacement job.

I can't see any problem with putting a 186/200 in the frame apart frome the fact that the frame is now old- has it been allowed to stand around in water, or is it badly corroded internally?
