kickstart shaft recommendations

the kickstart shaft on my bike closely resembles the one on page 68 of Sticky's book...
what's a good quality replacement ? and what should be avoided...?

Jarv, the last two engine builds I've done I've used the Italian ones that Cam Lam sell. They are more expensive that the SIL ones but they're much better quality.
I had problems with a GP SIL one that was machined incorrectly where the pin goes (it had a SIL hologram sticker on it but whether this means it was SIL?). I'd even used the CamLam LI type as opposed to a SIL GP one now.

thanks Paul, I do like camlam and am happy to pay for a decent one.
the one that snapped was the original 1965 item, so it hadn't done too badly.
and good to see you got yours sorted

I'll second , that i also got an Italian one from there spot on quality and fitment.
