I'm building a bike from bits, and this switch has been bought second hand.
I've looked at all the wiring diagrams I can find and the most wires an Li S3 light switch seems to have is 7. Mine's got 8 :?
There is both grey and purple present. On the wiring diagrams it's either grey or purple.
Anyone come across this?
I'd like to know where the extra wire is supposed to go :D

It's for an early series 3, 4 pole, battery model and internally the same as a series 2 type.

Excellent Firekdp! I knew I could rely on your expert electrical knowledge :)

Quite fortunate really, the scooter's an early '62 Li 150 Series 3, so the switch matches the time period.

Thanks for the reply.

I've found a diagram for a Li 150 Series 2, which indeed has the extra wire. It appears to be used for the 3 connector style rear brake light switch.

If anyone's interested here's the link to the diagram on the very useful Scooter Help site:

Cheers,

Nigel
