Ok: running rich still on the midrange on my Ts1 225 (Jimmers RV with banshee CF reeds, GP200 box, Devtour pipe)
Paul Baker ran her on the dyno today and I need to osrt this richness out on midrange (top and tickover are fine):
It currently has needle 6EN11-58 is there a leaner needle?
Paul thought 6 a/b/c/d n -58?
Is there such a beast?

There are loads of different needles for the TM series Mikuni carbs, primarliy because they run a fixed atomiser system so to compensate for this the range of needles is mind blowing, with varying thicknesses along the a b c and d reference points (which is what I think Paul is referring to)along the needle shaft. This allows very exacting jetting. Adding to this the taper can be singular or double too.
The TMX 35MM uses the 6 series needles and I must admit the EN 11 55 to 58 tend to cover most lammy applications. I personally prefer to run slightly rich thru this period of the throttle range as I find its where I do most of my riding, I mean who runs at WOT all day?, giving me the confidence I need.
If its too rich to be unrideable thou maybe you could try to find out EXACTLY where you are running rich, is it 1/4, or 1/2 throttle and this will correspond to the mentioned points a, b, c and d and you can go from there, there might be one in the list below?
