I have to have the mixture screw set about three and a half turns out to get a decent tickover. It's too weak screwed in any more. Idle jet is a 50 (tried a couple) and can't find any blockages in the carb.Manifold gasket appears ok and the carb is tight on the manifold. Engine is a 200 indian barrel with ports only tidied up and a taffspeed exhaust.
Any ideas what to try?
(Apologise if in the wrong section).
Thanks.

Is the carb off a 200 motor originally or a 150 motor?
The slide's are different in the 200 compared to the 150.
That could be your problem.

The carb's off a 200 and it's a dellorto.Internals seem correct.Slide has a bit of wear. Are pilot jets bigger than 50 available?
Thanks.

Be sure your air mix screw is of the longer variety which is correct for the 22mm carbs.
