Need some help ASAP please !
my mate asked me to help out with a problem he has with his P2 clutch, first of all hes bought a brand new cosa clutch complete plus extra strong springs, dismantled and soaked for 24hrs,the problem is no matter how much you adjust it,cable tight cable slack there's major drag and cant get 3rd or 4th gear ! the arm is sitting perfectly up against the pressure plate ! we've had the clutch out re-checked and re-checked again ! slackened cable and arm etc etc.
need to get him on the road for our charity run on Sunday..

common problem on some cosa clutches, the turrets where the tangs of the plates sit arnt machined deep enough, they need to be 22mm or more, and most pattern cosa clutches are less, meaning that its impossible to adjust. you can file or dremmel a couple of mm off. a grown up will be along with some pictures soon.

Spot on ! that's exactly what the problem is ! dealers should tell people these things when you purchase from them , would save a lot of hours and headaches !
Thanks.....

Had my clutch machined to 22mm (thanks Geoff) and fitted it today. Much nicer action, no drag or slip and easier on the hand.
