Ignition Timing for Polini Kit

Anyone know what the ignition timing should be for a Polini 207cc Kit (twin ring)

Set up is as follows in case it makes a difference:
Std carb
Taffy Exhaust
Polini Kit.

And also cos i''m a bit thick how do you set up the timing?
I have a timing disc and a TDC gauge but not timing gun.

any advice greatly appreciated.
