All the threads on my Varitronic flywheel are now stripped, made from cheese I believe..

Is a center boss available seperatley?

I can repair the fan threads and have a think about the center thread..

If I buy a new flywheel, that's another AU$300, which will make it an AU$900 ignition kit :?

$300 can get me a new af/bgm ignition kit from SCK

Can I ask how you removed the flywheel? I've a Varitronic flywheel that I need to remove with knackered threads. Mine were made of cheese also.

Hi Bilko, I made a puller which utilizes the 4 M6 threads for the fan, but that failed due to the cheese factor, so I tried with the center boss thread with a regular puller one last time and it worked..

Ok, thanks. Sorry I can't answer your question by the way, but I may be looking a boss too for mine from my Muggy 225 engine.

Thanks I'll give this a go, it's on my old Muggy 225 engine, which needs an overhaul. I should be starting that next week.
