been working on my bro inlaws t5 cutdown , full engine rebuild , after putting engine oil in i fired the engine up an the oil was p1551ing out of the clutch breather screw on the clutch cover so i replaced screw an it did it again so this time i replaced the cover with one from my p2 i put a few blocks under the scoot to keep it up straight an hey presto the problem stopped or so it thought when i put scoot back on its sidestand it happened again anybody got any ideas , ive had loads of cutdowns in the past an none of the done this yes alittle oil for rear hub but not from the breather

I had the same experience on my tuned PX200 engine.
Then it was the clutch-seal that had blown, and was filling the gearbox with petrol...
-and overflow is through the clutch breather...

yep, you should never leave a sidestanded vespa ticking over or running as this is what it will do.
When you put the oil in originally, Im assuming you only filled it until it started coming out of the filler hole?
Also, I assume when you did this that the scooter was straight up and not on the sidestand?

yep gearbox oil filled correctly while scooter was straight up an to the level , had a few cutdowns of my own in the past an none of them ever did this , yes alittle oil from rear hub but never from the breather lol prob cos they were always coverd in s**t , thanks anyway lads
