its the early ones that are weaker, its third gear, you have to measure across 3 teeth to find the weak ones,, i will have a measure for you tomorrow as i cant remember off hand what it is.. if you had the gears in front of you its easy to see the weaker ones as the teeth look thinner than on the other gears

Straight out of Stickys book. The weaker gearbox is the early one. Its gear cluster is bored for a clutch centre spindle and the measurement for the 3rd gear across 5 teeth is 33mm for the early box and 33.8 for the late one.

Thanks phil, whats the general feeling on the Pacemaker box, i have an indian GP200 on my rb20 and im happy with the way it goes. Pulls up hill and only a slight gap between 3rd and 4th. Some of the teeth are slightly chipped/worn and this may be what is casuing it to jump out of gear. Hence the reason for looking at the Pacemaker. These do seem very expensive though (£130). Should i replace the indian box with like for like or invest in the pacemaker. Have 18x47 by the way
