Retouching Pearl scratches

Have several deep scratches in a side panel painted in white pearl. Don't know the exact colour of it, but have got a decent match in 2 pack with a 2 pack silver base as well.
Have tried a test area building up from P38, primer and then a couple of brush coats of silver base left to air dry then the same with white pearl.
Colour looks very flat though and from some angles very silver and others a near good match...depends on the light. Can I add more coats of white pearl to get a more uniform colour?
The flatness of the colour will be sorted out with a brush on clearcoat?
Hope somebody can confirm or suggest alternative method.
Thanks.
