For running normal round town. How long would it take to get the water temperature up over 40 degrees C?

mine ticking over takes about 5 mins but about 2 mins if im riding. this all depends on where you temp sensor is situated and if you using a thermostat and water pump. i cant remember what my thermostat opens at sadly ,hot water is then pumped around to rads when it opens(pump runs all the time)going past my sensor and fan switch which are in the pipe from pump to rad. on the motorway in belgium it was reading 57-62 c, around town it was reading between 75-85 c. i am now moving my sensor into the head to get a truer reading of running temp and putting fan switch into rad mainly to tidy things up

TIm Temperature gauge.
I think it could be the sender. It's a Koso one, but the connector was unique so I took it to an electrical shop where they put connectors on the wires.
I dunno.
I might try and see if I can find another sender, but I don't know what the tapered thread size is on the connector.
AAAaaaaarrrrgggghhhhhhh!
I'm off to bed before I get another headache!

Now sorted to what I need to do. I've ordered a sender/sensor and this should sort it out.

It looks like the water temperature gauge is f@@ked.
A mate came round tonight and pointed out I'd connected it up wrong.
