Hi All,

Basically, the idea behind this thread, is that we invite all forum members to post the settings they are currently using on thier scooters, in order to develop a database of information, that can be used by all visitors as a resource for learning and setting up thier own machines.

Please get involved and supply as much info as you can, you never know, you may need to use the resource yourself one day!!

NOTE: Please don't ask technical questions or start discusions about carb settings within this particular thread, please start a NEW thread if you need to have a discusion. This particular thread is for settings information only.

So just add a reply below with your carb set-up and watch the list grow!

Scooter: PX125/PX150
Engine: Mallossi 166 cylinder. Extra tuning: Transfer bridges in spigot cut out - bottom of exhaust port lowered 1mm - boost port opened up.
Crank Case: Transfers ported and matched to cylinder, inlet port opened 4mm each end and matched to 26mm carb, with airbox matched to suit.
Oil: Autolube discarded, run on 3% pre-mix in tank.
Crank: 'cut back' 14mm (approx 180 degree inlet)
Pipe: Sterling exhaust
Timing: Standard
Clutch: 22 tooth
Carb type: 26mm Spaco with air box and standard filter. Oil hole in carb blanked off.
Main Jet: 130 main
Idle jet: 55/160
Air Corrector: 160 AC
Mixer: BE3
Slide: 04


Scooter: PX125
Engine: T5 casing, AF TS1 barrel, extra boost port, 188/128 port timing, Readspeed centre plug head, Wiseco Yamaha YZ 250 piston,
Yamaha reed block with Boyeson twin stage reeds, Mikuni fuel pump.
Oil: Castrol TTS @ 3% pre-mix in tank.
Crank: Full circle P200, (57 stroke), widened 10mm. Rotax 120mm rod.
Pipe: PM.
Timing: Parmakit set to 15 deg @ 9000 revs.
Clutch: Old style 7 spring 22 tooth.
Carb type: 32 VHSA
Main Jet: 162
Needle: X57, clip on middle groove
Slide: 35
Atomizer: DQ267
Idle: 40
Choke: 60

Head: pm tuning head(30cc approx) (malossi type )

Tuning: ported/matched casings , hp4 flywheel, t5 fourth gear, cosa banded 23tooth ,4 plate clutch, ngk b8es plug
Crank: mazz crank
Timing: 15/16 btdc (which does require much filing of slots in stator)
Carb: 28mm carb,run through malossi hose to frame

Engine: Malossi Kit 166cc, cases matched and ported, cut original crank 19mm, inlet port opened 5mm rear/2mm front, lightened original flywheel
Carb: 30mm OKO/PWK (125main, 48pilot, JJH needle 3rd clip, 1.75 air screw, ScootRS manifold matched to case
Pipe: ScootRS
Oil: Maxima Super M, 2% pre-mix in tank
Timing: standard 18* BTDC
Gearbox: standard, SIP banded Cosa clutch, slots milled to 22mm, reinforced XL springs

Why 125 motor for 200 vespa?
Vibration-free motor, and same power to my malossi 210 in identical configuration.
Also, identical fuel consuption... :oops:

hi can anyone give me timming and rough jetting for 172 mallossi runing standard carb no porting etc and no autolube exhaust will be pm going to strop and do bearings and seals
