Hello folks, I hope someone can help me.
I've just removed my Rapido 225 and fitted my new RB225 kit, with Franspeed race pipe and (hopefully) my new Dellorto 34mm carb. I use a long range fuel tank, and my problem is that the carb won't fit anywhere. The carb rubber is too short, and the carb doesn't even go anywhere near it due to it hitting the fuel tank before it can be secured on to the rubber.
What has everyone else done with their RB kitted engines? I can't the only one using a long range tank, ha ha.
I've checked online shops (Beedspeed etc) and no-one seems to supply a longer carb rubber.
Any help will be very much appreciated, thank you in advance.
RB kit help with carb manifold please.

What tank is it? Is it like this one?
Someone posted on here before about a similar issue with a carb and a tank. I think it was Screwdriver.
It could be worth checking
I'm using a Diablo long Range tank on my RB and you'll be hard pressed to find any complaints about fitment with carbs.

Yes it's similar to the one in your link. The carb's a fair bit short of being able to fit though, I'm already tempted to set fire to the thing as nothing is ever easy when fitting non-standard parts. The scoot is a series 3, GP200.Bilko wrote:What tank is it? Is it like this one?

So you're saying you managed to fit your carb to the standard carb manifold (supplied with the kit) and rubber with no mods to anything? Did you need to cut a hole in your panel?
Anyone else? Any help gratefully received.

Yes my carb fits, but I had to cut the side panel because the carb was touching it, but only just. You can get manifolds that move the carb back from the side panels. Jimmers & LTH sell them.
Don't set fire to anything. I understand your frustration. I've had many with my RB build.

Cheers for the picture sir. I can see straight away that your fuel tank has a cut-away for the carb. Mine doesn't.
So it looks like I now need to go and get a new fuel tank! And I've just had mine chromed!
Does it ever end...........

It never ends with Lambrettas but it's always worth it in the end and there's plenty of people on here that'll be able to help with good advice.
Diablo's Tanks are outstanding and definately worth getting.
