Rev Counter

Hello.
What Rev Counter options are there?
12V none Battery full bodied GP.
A round gauge with a back light would be nice, Looks better than a digital read out
but really not that fussy.

I'm going to be fitting a legshield toolbox so looking to fit it into the top of the box.

What rev counters do you lot have?

i sold mine becouse it really was just a gimmick i replaced it with a EGT which ive bodged on for now and im hoping this will help with reliability as i will be able to see if the engine is getting hot

but it needs 12v DC to work, so [for about a year now] I have been faffing about with rectifiers & zenor diodes. I think I've got a stable supply now, so next will see if it can take the vibes from the lambretta. If it does, I'll make a decent housing for it, probably including an EGT gauge. I have fitted the proper longer needle now, that pic is from a while ago when I was trying out internals from a Kawasaki KDX
It is backlit when I turn the lights on, so is a nice red glow at night. :D

Ive got this vapor does a bit of everything ,but going to fit an egt as well,you can buy a mount from mb for the toolbox.

tap them up and see if you can get a deal for a few id have one just to see what my dragster revs to the reason i never used the koso one was it was a ball ache to wire up and mount id deffo have one if you contact them

Prefare the analogue dial type to the digital read out, as you can just glance at the rev counter and quickly gauge the revs rather than having to read the digital display....

I like the Vapor rev counter as its digital but with a dial type readout, Ive bought one but havnt got round to fitting it yet, but it looks a comprehensive piece of work...

I'm using a Daytona on my GP it's been on there for 8 years and is still working done about 20,000 miles, bought it from SIP back in 2001... fitted the same to my TV thats been on since 2002 and still working well, cost about £50 each when I bought them. I'm going to fit the Vapor rev counter to my SX when I get a chance...

J1MS the Daytona that you have is the one with 2 or 3 wires?
Because i have buyed this one in ePay, and i think that need a battery to work.
I see too that there are a 9V battery for Koso instruments: http://www.lambretta-teile.de/product_i ... ments.html
Do you think that this one works with this battery?
