TARGA TWIN UPDATE

Firstly I must apologise for not updating the Targa twin thread over the last few months (Dan has given me a rollicking now and then for been a bit slack). Unfortunately do due running the business affairs there is very little time to do a write up but I will update the thread with new pictures and information in the near future.

Excuses over a bit about what’s going on. We put the engine under long term endurance testing to prove its reliability and fine tune the set up when run in. Charlie and Cam Lam had done a great job getting the project done in the first place but the question potential customers were asking was is it reliable long term before I hand my hard earned money, and rightly so. This was where we came in working with Tino and Lambretta IT to prove and promote the project, and at the same time working with Trevor at Cam Lam to share info to help answer any questions potential customers might have.

Though we haven’t done tens of thousands of miles we have done a lot and as usual with anything we product test I can assure you we haven’t been nice to the engine to try and find potential weak spots. The good news is everything is looking good so far and I’m confident it will continue to deliver in the future. We have tweaked the Set up with the engines we are selling, mainly gearing and fine tuning of the carburetion. These are done in Italy when the engine is built as per are requirements. The results performance wise are good and fuel consumption very low in fact astounding. When we have more detailed figures I will update in the Targa thread.

Anyone interested can see our demonstrator at the shop and we will do our upmost to answer any questions you have. One thing to remember this is a revolutionary engine design originally conceived by Innocenti themselves and pain stakingly finished decades later by Tino and his team. We had a whole new learning curve understanding the characteristics and setting up the engine up. It has taken a while but now we have that understanding it can only benefit any future Targa Twin owners which I think is most important.

We will have the Demonstrator at Wicksteed Park on 6th March and various events during the year (TBA). We have sold several engines from the new batch of forty units that have been sanctioned and any genuine enquires are welcome.

Sorry for waffling on and sorry for the delay in updating information but it does take a while on a project as vast as this.

Thanks to Dan and his team for letting us promote this exclusively on Scooterotica.

I'd love one too, I've heard the Camlam demonstrator...awsome 8-)

Has the exhaust bracket seen some developement? the Camlam demonstrator had the rear runner cut to clear the bracket that mounts to the front of the casing and was visible with the panel on. The White one above doesn't seem to suffer the same problem?

Nice work 8-)
