Hi, I've a ts1 with Taffspeed exhaust

my configuartion is:

li150 gears box
17 drive sprocket
46 crownwheel
and 81 chain
as says from AF on his page to have 4.6 final ratio (right for Taffspeed exhaust)

so the first gear is tooooo long, some meters befor rise on rpm

any idea to cut the first gear ratio???

I use Li 150 with 16/47 which is 5.0 in 4th and have found it works well in all gears

I'm sure you know about it, but have you tried the gearbox visualiser that you can download from www.tonycassidy.com. I found it really useful when I was trying to sort out the gearing on my scooter

I run a 17x46 on my Li box with a GT185 top end. It pulls off fine, two up with luggage. It's not cutting edge power, by any stretch of the imagination.

Are you sure it's your gearbox that's the problem, rather than something like carburation?
