My px125 with malossi 166 kit fitted was running great. Was out a run, engine under load but nothing to harsh and it stopped dead. Pulled the clutch in and limped to the side of the road. Left it to sit for a bit and it started again. Same thing happened further up the road and now wont start at all. Fuel is getting to the carb, had the carb and the jets out and cleaned them. Getting a good spark but still nothing. Plug doesnt oil up or anything over numerous kicks. Any ideas folks?

Cheers

What's the compression feel like? could be a blown head gasket or a ring gone although I'd strip the carb and blow through all the jets and passages with carb cleaner first. Have you tried bump statring it?

It's dead...strip the top end and check the damage... Rings could be stuck to the piston where it's nipped up...

When you say 'stopped dead' - did it seize, or just lose all power?

sounds like youve heat siezed it, then heat siezed it again. the plug being dry and not oiled up sounds like a lean mixture. time to get the spanners and the wallet out i"m afraid. bet it was going great just prior to going bang?

Tried a bump start with no joy. Have cleaned the carb and jets with compressed air aswell. Yeh, just stopped dead, almost came off due to back wheel locking up so clutch in and limp to side of the road. Compression seems ok, not as good as prior to the incident but no less than what my t5 has. Will strip the head tomorrow and have a look at the rings etc.

Cheers
