Not sure if its been done before, but thinking of getting a small tank made to fit inside the space of a spare wheel on inside of legshield. Now with the weight of the spare only being held on four screws, would the added weight of the tank/fuel be too much for the brackets/screws? If it's been done before, what is the expected capacity of fuel that could reasonably be carried? 4-5 liters? Would save carrying a green plastic 5 litre can and also release space when carrying gear on a rally.

Do a search on something like "GS150 spare wheel fuel tank" or similar. It was a genuine accessory in the 1950s and it looks like SIP remake them. Might get a few ideas.

I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order.
