T5 classic forks

Please please Please could someone tell me how to get the pivot pin,bearing,seals out of the suspension link at the bottom of the forks. Need to replace them got a bit of play there. Thanks Paul

use a hydrolic press (a local garage will have one for bushes and bearings)and a long 8mm socket . the socket will press through the bearing and push the pin through and remove the link.. replace the bearings and pin as a set

Piaggio dealers should have a tool to do this job without removing the forks.I have used one before but it really needs two as it is awkward to use on your own.

thanks for that chaps, so you put the socket over the center of what looks like a castle like spring clip and just push through to the other side am i right in what i`ve said

You will need to remove the spring clips on both sides before pressing out the pin...

ta fruitjuice, whats the best way to remove the spring clips as they are very strong and i can`t seem to bend the tabs up to release them

Hammer and a small chisel to break off several of the tabs, then try to prie it out with a strong screwdriver...

once again fruitjuice thanks allot be in garage tonight to strip down sons forks and wait for parts from beedspeed
