Those oblong black plastic things on Italian GP panels.

How do I tell if they're original?

I've got a thought in the back of my mind that original Innocenti ones are now quite rare. Anyone know their value if they are original?

I'm not sure I've ever seen an original pair, but I have this mental image of them being quite clean moulding wise. Remade ones are two a penny and often have flash where the plastic is injected into the mould. Some are very rough around the edges too. But, given that they are plentiful and cheap I suspect original ones might not command the price you might think.
