how do i rig up a car battery to test the electics on on my scoot it`s got asimplified loom .............do i connect the positive to the red wire coming from regulator and the negative to the frame ?

yep, the wire that comes from the regulator into the loom.
if you have an AC horn it will just make a really feeble croak, but that's just cos you're putting DC through it.

Dont forget to fuse the +ve link from the battery or you might melt your loom

Dont fit a fuse and which ever wire starts to smoke, then thats where the fault is.

Just use a battery charge,r pos to the disconnected brown and neg to the earth strap.

thought about fitting a fuse .............but decided to live dangerously
.....got away with any damage .....i think !!
