I’ve been having a few problems recently fitting tyres, I’ve fitted dozens over the years to both Vespa’s and Lambretta’s but these are doing my head in, doesn’t matter what I try the tyre fails the valve....any ideas?

This doesn’t look too safe to me..

Schwalbe Racemans, Schwalbe Tubes and new Cam lam rims (allegedly), tyre fails the valve
What do you guys think?
Cheers

Are you saying that the tyre is touching the valve inside the rim? If so, have you inflated the tyre to push the tyre to the edge of the rim?

Or, are you saying the valve in the inner tube is in the wrong place?

Looks to me that it's the inner tube causing you problems, i fit the off set valve type and never have any problems. I bought mine from justlambretta very good quality and well priced. Hope this helps. Pete

Fully inflated, and the tyre touches the valve (as pictured)

Schwalbe offset angled valves 30*/90* and Schwalbe Raceman tyres

TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back

I can't see where the valve is touching the tyre in that pic. In fact I can't see the tyre at all. The hole in the rim looks like it's in the wrong position, it should be roughly in the middle of the half moon shape on the rim, that way the valve will sit equally spaced between the nuts. In that pic the valve looks like it'll be in the way of the nut when it's time to tighten the two rims together, though it could be an optical illusion.
