vhsa carb

thinking of changing my 32mm tmx mikuni to a 28mm vhsa anyone using this carb on a ts , and is it o.k ...............also what where these carbs originally used on or are they an aftermarket carb .....just looking to get a cheap s/hand one

I really rate VHSAs. Responsive, and [depending upon use of the thrtottle] not ridiculously thirsty, if using the right size. Got a 28 on my Mugello. And a mate has a 32 on his TS1. But they do suffer from worn slides, so factor about £60 for a new one in if buying secondhand... Some parts are particular to them, different needle range to say a PHBH, but jets are the same. Worthwhile doing the mod as per MB's site to open the fuel flow up, and maybe fit a bigger float needle jet assy, I have a 350 in mine [another £15 or so].
Not sure what bikes they came on, but I have had 4-stroke versions, so be aware of that. These can be converted by changing the atomiser & seat.
