Helping a mate build hois scooter and he has got a 2nd hand Gianelli snail for a imola but hasnt got a stub for it. Its the same one as in stickies book. Question i have is, does the stub need to be a gianelli one or will other sorts fit and if so which ones?
Have been looking online and cant seem to find Gianelli stubs....
Any help greatly appreciated

Sef, I've got one to use as well, should be a laugh, the stub won't work with the JL/Taffspeed type of stub and must be totally different - I'm going to cut the exhaust and weld on the same diameter tube so that it will use the JL stub - easily available and can swap out to a JL.
Otherwise CamLam have a bit of knowlege and might have a spare stub - let me know how you go on with it.

I can see this becoming a nightmare...

Got this pipe for a mate to help finish his scoot as hes new to scooters and is fast running out of money..Thought i was getting a result only paying £30 for it (needs a bracket welding) may turn out to be atd more exspensive than i thought...

Not necessarily, if you've got a bit of welding to be done anyway then welding the flange on will hardly cost and ebay or a wanted on here should throw up a JL manifold for a tenner, it's never easy is it?

think I might have one, can take a look if you like? or is it a NK type stub that is like just the inner bit of a JL one...? so the expansion pipe just sits on the outside, rather than being sleeved by the stub...? got one of them too if you want me to measure that.

cheers Byron, I dropped it round Johns yesterday so will pop round and measure it up and come back to you.
Thanks for the offer
