Are they that much better? Or are normal copper washers good enough? If not, where's the best place to get them from?

10mm dowty Seals should be available from your local Hydraulic Hose and Fittings supplier. I use them, but don't know the effect brake fluid has on the Nitrile rubber within the seal, although I think the Hose supplied by some Disc brake manufacturers comes with Dowty Seals. As for copper seals these do work fine if not better for high pressure sealing on Hydraulic fittings, but I have had issues with the Banjo Bolt being too long and bottoming out when using copper. I've had Dowty's on for about 5 years, so far no leaks.
