Air flow

After rebuilding my LIS 150 engine with the usual gp crank, bearings, seals, electronic, ally 185 kit and PWK 24 mm carb breathing through the airbox with baffles taken out, I took it down the end of my road and back (not yey registered  ). I wasn't happy with the lack of accelaration, so took the inlet hose off and let it breath directly, it made a huge difference. So, is my next step to run it through a ram filter?

I use a ram air filter with an almost identical setup.... goes really well.

But that may not be the source of the problem... you running rich?

Be aware you will need your jetting checking and setting up correctly or it could be expensive fella.

I'm running a K34 pilot and a 114 main to start, but I've only been to the end of the road and back, as it's not registered yet. What jetting are you running?

Bob; was it much of an effort to fit a 22mm hose on the carb?

I gave mine a dunk in some boiling water, sliped on fine.
