strange one

if i ride the workhorse 15 miles its great any more than this and it starts to splutter/hesitate its like the jets blocked but think its electrical before i start to pull it to bits any one sufferd this and can give me a deffo diagnosis

Try the cdi, had similar problem and it was sorted with a new one.

my bet is the pick-up on the stator, make sure the wiring plugs at the coil are clean and dry first. ive had lots of stator failures and usually seem worse as engine warmed.
