Having been relayed back by the AA saturday suffering from lack of compression, stripped the ts down to find a foreign object had entered the engine and scored the top half of the piston in a vertical line with one of the transfer ports, seizing the rings in their groves
piston and rings now cleaned up with one score mark on the piston and ready to go
question having decided to now use air filters, what are people using on a TMX 35, am using a LTH Manifold so there is room for a remote filter behind the panel
Air filter for a TMX35

I've used a Twin air & sit the carb in with two little loops & a tie rap going around the back of the carb from loop to loop.
A filter similar this & with the panel on who sees it.

Cheers Rob
saw those on Camlam's site, TMX diameter is 62mm, the breathing sweet is 55mm, presume they stretch a bit

Yep they're quite pliable. Haven't had it on the bike yet as you'll know but have had it on the carb to check it'd fit.
David.
Its your lucky day because I was about to re-fit it after dropping the motor to check barrel.
I've always used it its very dusty down here.

Filter mouth has a 9cm internal diameter.

Pop the float bowel into the filters void pass the tie rap around & attach to the other tie rap on the other side.
The top part of the lip just fits over the top of the carb mouth.
As you tighten the tie raps it pulls the filter as far round the side leaving mouth sitting in the filters internal cavity.

Just fitted a CamLam one on my RT 190, sick of filth everywhere, and after watching all the fuel spraying everywhere on Diablo's dyno, it made my mind up.
Fitted last night, dropped the main jet from a 118 to 115, test flight tomorrow night.
We'll see how she goes...........
