Been using it for the last two years its the best one out there . I warranty them for 4,000 miles in RB engines . Originaly it was tested for camlam in my sprinter. Though it was an 8 plate version it is the only clutch ever to last in the beast need i say more.

Been using the camlam and its been fine the foxhat would be fine though. Thing to remember its the plates and springs that make the difference in handling the power.

Are the CamLam plates any different than others on the market, or are they just the normal 'thin' type surflex that most others use in 5/6 plate conversions?

...the surflex-plates are not the same as standard-ones only thinner....the have a own material-mix...they are harder than the
standard-plates....

I had the original and it was a nightmare to pull in worked well but even Arnie would have felt limp wristed. I kept whinging to Cambridge who were telling me check the cables etc etc and basically it was down to me.
After months of struggling with it they realeased their soft feel version that I had to buy for approx £65 ! The new version with red plates and softer springs is a million times better but I was dissapointed they would not acknowledge the problem initially and blamed it on the set up.

i suppose it all depends if you really need 6 plates, i have never need more than 4 not on my gp 6 or gp 4 scooters nore my taffy 240 or my current TS1 iv always used 10 springs and checked the compatability of the parts used ,making sure cllearances are spot on the plates ar not to thick and using a thin top plate to ensure there is enough seperation , ive used bike clutch levers for about 20yrs and nylon lined cables since they first came out , i was only 10 st when i raced so i suppose that helped and my ts isnt a high power one just matched and polished were needed, the 240 was a brute though, some may wonder why i want to got semi or fully hydolic the reason is i have the first sighs of ostio athritus so want to future proff my scoot while i still can
