I got a cilinder that came frome a Jet 200. At first I didn't pay much of attention apart from beïng a bit dissapointed that the exhaust-port had been enlarged and highered. I was looking for an original one but anyway, I bought a new piston and had it rebored. Today I was getting my gaskets together and then I came to the strange part. The stud spacing for the inlet manifold is the same as on cilinders for a small-bloc. Anyone ever had this before?
Mike.
Strange Jet 200 cilinder
yes, Mugello 225's have the 150 inlet spacing, really annoying! and why?

Yes but Ketje's cylinder is a cast iron jet 200 cylinder with small bloc inlet stud spacing. Wierd. :wtf:hydra wrote:yes, Mugello 225's have the 150 inlet spacing, really annoying! and why?
I've got a Jet barrel at work thats got different cylinder stud spacings to normal. I had to make off set inserts to fit a TS1 to the casing.

Possibly a Lambro cylinder? I have two here that are 200's with 150 inlet. Must admit, I haven't check cylinder studs, but they looked like 200 the last time I looked at them, swearing at them for the 150 inlet. The transfers are tiny also.
That's not going anywhere...

Surely if it was a Lambro barrel the inlet would also be pointing in the wrong direction?

Bugger. Going to have to go out in the snow into a freezing shop to check on that.Doom Patrol wrote:Surely if it was a Lambro barrel the inlet would also be pointing in the wrong direction?

Don't think that it's a Lambro cilinder. The transfers are the same as the other 200 cilinder that I have.
So,....maybe an update for Sticky's book???

So not different inlet stud positions but diff cylinder stud locations?? Anymore info on this Al, any pics, whatcha mean by "off set inserts to fit a TS1 to the casing"Diablo wrote:I've got a Jet barrel at work thats got different cylinder stud spacings to normal. Diablo said that, not Ketje. It's his inlet studs he's worried about.
