Can I use this dellorto carb on a lammy? Its got a few of us baffled here so I'm asking the proper experts. Please dont guess if you're not sure cos I'll be f'ked if I'm putting it on, setting it up only to find its not going to work. I know the jets & needles need changing, it's the actual body thats puzzling me.

Cheers.

HAve you got a pic down the mouth of the carb from front incase it's a four stroke one. Cheers

you'll need to blank off the little brass pipe to the side of the mounting that you can see in the bottom pic - it's for oil injection.
Is the carb off an Aprilia RS125 ?

It also has a power jet next to the choke jet

In answer to the other posts..its a 28 mm carb & I've got a broadhurst 28mm manifold..The carb will be used with a mildy tuned 200 kit conversion for small block engines.

i'm pretty sure it is off an aprilla rs 125, and how do I deal with the power jet?

cheers

Hi A.J. still not got it sorted?
Yes that is defiantly a four stoke. As said the autolube pipe needs blanking off, spray tube needs changing and the plug needs drilling out. Also the power jet can be blanked off if you dont need/want it.
The jets and needle will need changing to suit your set up.
The slide is a No. 5 by the look of it, "most" setups use a No.4
Ive sort of got the use back in my hand now :D if you cant or dont want to convert it give me a PM

It is a curious one? If it is RS125 then it has a lot of major differences to the RS125 carbs I have. If it is a 4 stroke car then it can not be an autolube connection! It is more likely to be a vacuum petrol tap arangement (but would still ned blanking or running to a fuel pulse pump).

The other significant differences to the carbs I have are:
The part number designation RS125 = PHBH28 BD, your carb is clearly marked RD
Both spray tube and vacuum connection suggest 4 stroke
Autolube connection on RS125 is on opposite side to yours
The air screw is missing?
The atomiser and idle air feed holes look blanked off.
It is odd to position a power jet in that position, I have not seen it before on a PHBH carb.

Personally, I think it looks like a bag of trouble to convert over to 2 stroke and youd be better getting a RS125 carb from Ebay. But the parts should be useful, certainly the cable choke.
