Does anyone have any details of the late serveta steering lock that fits on legshields and not the headset?
Ive got a spanish frame that has the lock on the fork tube and I have no idea how this fits around the legshields,
Does anyone have any pictures or measurements on where the hole is positioned?
Thanks Dave

The lock can be in the position as in the photo or in the centre. There should be a rubber grommet round it as below.

Well; that's something I didn't know. I knew they moved the ignition to behind the seat.

I don't quite understand this. I've heard of Orbar Lambrettas but don't know where they fit in.

Orbar were the very last Spanish Lambrettas, completed 1989/90 and were Lince/Lynx types with small alterations such as the round speedo.

When Serveta close in Eibar, they go to Amurrio (another town in Basque Country) and found Orbar S.A., and continue with this type of Lambretta (Late SX200 type with fiberglass head, ... ) and working in Amiga, .... projects. They close in 1989/90.

Thanks for that information. Would this have been the time when they were said to be built in a washing machine factory?

This is exactly the infomation I wanted :bigsm:
my lock looks like the one in the orbar scooter with the key cover in the centre line of the leggies.
Dont think my frame is as late as that though, according to pete davies he has dated it to 1985.
Does the lock clamp the forks straight ahead or turned to the side?
Thanks
