ScootRs / Nissin type.....
What pads are people using?
I currently have standard pads, and have been happy with them.
Need a spare set though to have in the race box, but it just occured to me that I've not really heard people discussing alternative pads for these?
Any recommendations of alternatives or better pads to fit the Nissin caliper?

i use the standard ones never had a prob , perhaps genuine honda ones might be better

i have a spare set from scoot rs, let us know how you get on

do you feel they are lacking somewere then

its a fat old size disc and caliper if there the scootrs/sterling one , the master cylinder is big as well i changed mine for a nice AJP one from a zip theres a bit more movement in the lever so a bit more control also i have found the external shock conversion has taken the dive out of the front to a certain extent

No probs as such.... although when we raced in France it was a tight twisty kart circuit with seemingly at least 412 bends per lap!..... so after 20 minutes the brakes were kind of hot! They were lacking a little.
theres no UK circuits as demanding on brakes as although braking from high speed may actually be greater than France, there are longer straights for them to cool down....

I have been looking into a brembo caliper that is a direct replacement for a nissin one on my GP as they are much lighter and work better to.
I was also going to change the master cylinder over to a brembo one to. The one i have looked at is the same as one off a Yamaha R1.
They are hard to get here in Vietnam but rather easy to pick up in Thailand. When i work it all out i will let you know if anyone is interested.

I've not had any Paul but the Nissin ones appear to have more surface area than the ones fitted as standard. Strange though, you'd think the Nissin caliper would come with Nissin pads?
