What sort of spring rate are people using?
I'm running a 225lb in mine. As is someone else I know.
We both ride two up a lot, and run reverse cone cans. With a passenger on, there's barely any movement left for going over bumps.
Are other people using a fatter spring? Or, just living with the banging off the bump stop?

None of us is a big fat oik. 13 1/2 stone for rider. Tops of 9 1/2 stone for passenger.

I realise the obvious answer is to get a proper shock.. Never-the-less..

Is a bigger spring the answer? One of us is worried about paintwork (not me) :)

edit for spelling. 17th beer.

Why not just turn the compression screw up.When fully in it's near impossible to compress the damper.I have a 175 lb spring on a GP and just turn up the screw on the reservoir when carrying a passenger.

I thought putting a 180 spring was about right for a single rider and the 225 spring was the original one. I'm thing of giving the 225 one ago on a current project, if anyone else has tried it?
