Size of circlip or e-clip

Just found answer to my own question on MB site - 5mm e-clip.

I hate that circlip, I have had about 4 of them ping off never to be found. Keep meaning to do the bolt mod in stickies book but well,desi wrote:Holds tie-rod to gear selector arm - anyone know the size? Thanks

if I'm building an engine, I find that it's quicker to do that mod to the gearchange than spend time looking for those feckin circlipssydduckett wrote:I hate that circlip... Keep meaning to do the bolt mod in stickies book...

Appreciate your views, was thinking about that modification myself, but will keep a few spare clips with me in meantime.
