I want to fit an Aero(bike) filler cap to a custom made tank and wondered if I need a bikes tank and cut the neck out and weld to mine. The cap will be on the seat arch and I would like it flush.Anyone got any pics and advice? Thanks

You can't beat a pretty flap  .Yes something similar but would like it to sit flush like on a bikes tank.

had one on my cutdown
the previous owner had done it all though
the tank was drilled to make a wider neck then welded a collar around it then he put a metal/alloy pipe reducer over the top to make sure it went down into the tank far enough so not to splash about
im sure it came from B&Q as i remember seeing it on the receipts he gave me when i bought it
