Have a look on ebay for some SIL kits.
I'm going back to a regular SIL set up but DC.

I've used three SR kits without any problems. Are you sure you want the GP type?

I wouldnt bother your original points and condensor will be more reliable than a cheap electronic kit.If you fit one of the ones you mentioned expect to have to change the LT coil after a couple of thousand miles and the pick up head not long after.
The CDI will also be crap.
Also if you fit a GP ignition you will have to change your crank, assuming youve still got an SX crank fitted.
Save the money and stick with what youve got would be my advice.

I used my Scooter Restorations stator for 10000 miles, only had to resolder the lighting coils earth wire around 9000 miles. I've just ftted it in my winter engine to use again. I did fit a decent Ducati CDI, and have kept the supplied one as a spare.

Wellerchap has well over 65,000 miles on a sil kit from Scooter restorations. I believe the £140 includes a Ducati CDI and reg, and that they are resoldered and checked.
The "new kids on the block" in electronic ignitions haven't proved themselves any more reliable than genuine sil products. Maybe Boyer Bransden could come up with the ultimate for lammies if they could be bothered.

Thank you all for your replies,I think I'll go for it with the SR kit.Basically the bodywork is my old SX 150 ,but I'm building a new engine,Classic Rapido 200 with a GP crank to go in the frame, the old 150 engine was points and condensor and all the previous engines Lambretta wise that I've had have been points and condensor.A mate of mine has a TV175 on points etc and swears by them, but I just fancy the electronic ignition for hopefully a bit more reliabilty

That does look good. What about the key way though Martin? Looks like it's set to the left. I thought that made the ignition more difficult to set up?

And, although the correct type for battery charging, that reg/rec will not do what they say it will.
