Your best bet would be to sent it back to Tino for welding and replacing. You"ll get it back with a new piston for not much more than the cost of a new piston from Camlam

Has anyone sent barrells to Tino, what was the turn around time like and cost.

Talk to Shocky. I think he's had some experience with this. If you don't want to go that route then he can certainly put you on to a company in Gloucester that can replate the cylinder. I think there is also a company in Weston Super Mare that does it as well.

Langcourt are the best for this type of thing. They will weld it back, rebore and recoat - the coatings they use are probably better than original.
Many of the BSSO racers use Langcourt.... so you can rest assured quality wise.

Not personally but he did quote me £90 plus shipping it back to (I think it was about (£10)to sort mine out and was including a new piston for that. I dare say the price will have gone up due to the vakue of the Euro going up (it's comming back down at the moment though). At the time Lancourt would have been about the same as now, around £120 if I
remember correctly but I would have needed to buy a new piston

I did hear a while back that Tino had taken 3 months to turn one round but I heard more recently (can't remember who said it) that he'd recently done one in about 6 weeks.

The damage to mine was a gouge about 10mm across going from the top down to the exhaust port caused by the debris from a blown piston. Camlam said I could TRY using some wet & dry to smooth out the edges. I did what they suggested and stuck a new piston in it. That one when about 2k miles later and the current one has been on for about 3k miles and has just done the C2C. Not sure about your damage though, imm sounds quite deep :?
