Hi,
Just stripped the Brother in-laws T5 engine down after it siezed on him on the way home from work. Turned out to be the drive side metal oil seal failing and locking up the bottom end. The crank has got a score on one of the webs about 2mm deep most of the way around it across the crank pin as well. Can't post a picture as it is far to complicated. I was just after some advice, the crank itself seems ok it's just the scoring causing some concern it could be old as it don't look new but can't be certain. Would it be wise to get it checked for alignment, by new or use as is.

Regards

Dickie
