Flying Polini

I just came from testing my old engine Polini 208 CC (Reeds Malossi, Carb: Dellorto 30 PHBH, Exhaust:Sito Plus, Head MMW 10,5:1)
The point is that with the change in temperature (here in Seville we are still at 20º C) the engine began to have a small jetting bug and as I suspected the slide was a bit small (50) I changed it for one fatter: 40. And as I was, I have removed a head gasket I put for a test, but the squish was 1.7 mm. Now without the gasket the squish is 1.2 mm.
The result of the changes is that he bug has disappeared and the bike is a shot. The good thing is that in the third gear reaches 110 km / h and in fourth passes 120 km / h just after changing from third: I dont know the top speed, becose my speedometer is only up to 120 Km/h.
But best of all, the cylinder head temperature does not exceed 95 degrees and the exhaust is below 450 º. In addition, doing 120 km /h feels like the engine is realy confortable.
Now it has a atomicer of AV 264, needle x2, low jet 55, main 125 and slide 40. I think I'll put a AV 262 and see how it goes: Have a suggestion?.
Sorry for my English, but I had to use the Google translator.

How came?
What PWK are you using? 28?
Check your timings: I am runing 19º, with less it wont go beyond 110 km/h. Intake 120/ exhaust 180.
Compresion: 10,5:1

Hi spent the day on the dyno messing about with my scoot to get it ready for Warmwell in the morning.
Ended up changing quite a bit.
What you must realise here santacama is its bloody cold in England at the moment so my jetting may or may not be of use to you.
One thing I did find is that the malossi angled air filter smoothed the fueling curve beautifully. It doesn't just filter the air!
Anyway jetting is set up for motorway cruising and bear in mind I may well adjust this in the summer.
Slide 30(this cured lean spot as the throttle wound on previously 40)
Pilot 55
Needle x2 top clip (T1)
Atomiser AV264
Main jet 120(previously 125 before filter)
Filter Malossi angled filter
Road test shows this running sweet and an annoying leaness as you shut off the throttle has been cured which I attribute to the slide. Bear in mind this bike does lots of motorway and fast A road miles.
If most of your riding is around town and short blasts this may be a little rich. I would certainly be cautious of an AV262 atomiser. Can't think when I've ever used one on a tuned scooter.
All this with my superb RS performaces pipe gives me 18.5hp and 18ft/lb of torque and a nice big fat curve under it all. Torques where its at baby!

Ha, ha, ha, ... You do not need to give me that kind of explanation, I've been in your country several times and have lived in the Rocky Mountains at 3500 meters.
Yesterday I had to go to work outside the city and I did about 50 miles in the road. The most notable is that the engine goes so well at 120 km / h (speedo Vespa) that it does not sound nor vibrate nor anything, is like an electric motor.
What happens is that it works at very low temperatures (max: CHT 100º C/EGT 425º C) and I question the possibility of changing the atomicer.
Actually in the city the engine is not perfect, is somehow fat, but once you take it out on the road is very nice.
I remember the 30 slide did not go well. Now I have a 40 and the slow jet is 55. Not perfect but very good. I think the clutch side seal of the crankshaft is starting to die.
Do you have a link to the Malossi filter?
Regards
