how do these fit?

Anyone tell me how these panel locks fit. Is the pic upside down? Are the metal rods on tyhe outside or inside of theleg shields?
Im sure its obvious, but i cant see it....

And has anyone used these and can let me know if there fit for purpose? Im more concerned with them stopping the legshields from coming off when im riding as opposed to theft but a bonus if it makes theft proof(ish).....

theyll do nowt for your legshields mate.
but theyll stop your panels coming off, or getting pinched. we"ve used them for years, they are just locks off works lockers
make your panels look shite though.

the first ones fit at bottom of no. plate and are for li/sx handle type panels it goes up under the handle loop and stops anyone turning the handles , works quite well but you have to unscrew bottom bracket everytime you want to take panel off , the other types fit near rear of seat into panel and when turned locks panel to frame and can be used on any panels , takes a little bit to set up right and get in right position but just turn key to unlock.
