Ok im starting to think about fitting a bike engine in a scoot, i know feck all about bikes

I want a two stroke water cooled with elec start....?

What are the options?
Most enduro / trials 250s look ideal, but are kick start.
The other option ive considered is the aprillia RS125 or mito These seem ideal, but are they going to be to revvy and its only a 125 if im going to the effort of this i think i would prefer a 250ish motor
Oh and it needs to fit in a full frame LD with no widening?

So whats the best to fit?

Options, advice welcome :)

Have a ride on a few different bikes, and see what you think of the characteristics.

Which bike did you ride that made you think it'd be a good idea to put the engine in a scooter?

Isnt that a twin ? would that fit ?
Im on a bit of a budget and looking for a complete bike for about £600 ;) the idea being to use the bike frame/ engine cradle to weld on to the lammy frame and chop up the swinging arm to fit. Ill also have the carb exhaust, electrics etc. i need then sell the rest of the bike for spares ;)

rs 125 ive got one in a lammy its great smooth fast reliable 6 speed electic start great lights good on fuel
plenty fast enough and you could still put a 150bore kit on and tune it ect engines are cheep as
panells and runner boards fit on see it in the water cooled section a 250 would be dangerous
ktm do a 300 with electric start if you want to go mental

at least with the rs motor you should get away with not having to extend the reg plate area

:D :D No... i just like the challenge ;) ;) just got hold of a cheap ld, but the engines are crap, so thought i might go down this route. or it might be a normal lammy engine :D
I wont be doing anything for a few months though as ive f@@ked my hand up after an accident last friday :( :( cant even hold a pen.

Hows your engine now ?
