What's the trick for keeping off-set frame cones align?

Hold in place with small grub screw thru frame in line with gap in cone. It's best if you put a divot in cone as well

do you mean allowing the grub screw to locate into the slot in the cone? wont this stop the slot closing to pinch tight on the mounting rod?
I'm interested because I am having clearence problems on my TS

LTH has slotted ones together with a special bolt - it´s adjustable from the outside!

Do this after you have tightened it up
