TV175 pistons have windows and other models only have cutaways??

Because the gudeon pin is further up the piston the skirt is less supported. The ring around the bottom of the piston supports the skirt.

I few of the 200 pistons came with windows instead of cutaways.

interesting point re the strengthening element..........However, I've just stripped down an SX150 engine, and that piston (OE fitted) has windows as well
