intermittent spark

have a new bgm stator with a sil E flywheel new cdi ht lead cap and spark plug, going along fine then it dies...no spark! multimetered the stator... fine...stick's on an old cdi works fine the same again....timing set up and strobed :flaming: opinions very welcome and asap would be appreciated as a 7am start for brid awaits!

Pull green wire from cdi to loom see if that cures it.

Check alignment of pick up and trigger magnets, use some tippex.

Make sure al connections are sound at the stator (soldered) and the terminals to the cdi.

Also Check the resistance from the engine case back to the cdi earth wire if it's too high it create's a weak spark

Pulled the green wire thats it cured......but wot does this tell me?
