Trying to get the lights working on my SX and wondered if you guys could help. Its on points so is it 6 or 12 volt I have only ever worked on electronic ignition Lammys and will it need 6 or 12v bulb. I have managed to get the side light and tail light working, there is power to both prongs on the headlight holder but the bulb doesnt light, also no brake light. I have a purle wire coming out of the main loom that is live any idea where it goes according to diagrams it is an auxillary ? Also got a blue wire from ignition switch and no idea where it goes ?

6v is normal with points so all bulbs will be 6v ,except for the speedo thats 12v.
The purle wire from the loom (mag housing) goes straight to the bulb holder in the headset then the purple wire from the ignition switch is joined to this so that the main lights only work on ignition position 3 .
Is the headlamp rim earthed as this is a problem (white wire) on bottom of the rim.
Stop light wire is pink and comes straight from the stator plate then to the stop switch on rear footbrake, check the you've got power out of the stator plate on the pink wire.
Blue wire from the ignition switch is it italian?
