Been for a spin today, scoot running sweet all is well except for when I give it full throttle in 3rd or 4th she starts to backfire.This doesnt really bother me but its a bit embarrassing and it scared the s**t out of a few old dears going to church this morning ! What causes this and what can I do to cure it ? Not for my sake you understand but for the local blue rinse brigade ! Cheers.

a mates was doing this and we tested the resistance of the pickup. it was low on reading so put new pick up on and all is cured

Right sounds like am gunna have to start and get all mechanical like! Well I suppose it had to happen sometime!
