Have just got a Franspeed rb stub and there is a tiny gap between the thread and the stub, cant get even the slimmest socket over the nut so how do i torque it up to the right tightness when i can only get a tiny piece of spanner on them?

Anyone else had this problem with sleeved stubs....any advice welcome...

I had the same problem with my franspeed studs,i used longer studs and used 2 m7 nuts locking them both together with thread lock,also you can use an old chaincase guide locktab washer ,drill it out to m7 and use this as a locking plate under the first nut.

Not heard off an torque settings for these studs as far as i know.

I don't own a torque wrench Sef. Things don't seem to fall off my scooter, so perhaps you don't need one either.

PX125 long cylinder nuts are quite useful and can be used with the lockwasher. I torque these to 12lb/ft

Use M7 K-nuts with and 8mm socket IIRC

If your problem as i read it is theres not enough room for a socket because of the closeness of the stub then while holding it in your hand or a vice flat off the side of the stub next to the hole with a powerfile or just a file untill you can get a socket on, had to do this on mine, the exhaust nuts off a Vespa GTS are also a good way to go.

Yes they are, you can get a socket on but they do have a flange on the bottom, which is not a bad thing, cant take the credit though as Martin at Chiselspeed put me onto them .

K-nuts have a flange too, they're used in motorsport, the M7 takes an 8mm socket, they also have the benefit of self locking. Available from here
