Quick Action Throttle

Hi Folks
I'm looking for a quick action throttle for my GP cutdown. It's something I should have fitted during last years rebuild but I was itching to get on the road and didn't bother. The standard throttle has lots of play between the grip and the rod and it sticks at where ever you turn it (cruise control!).
I had something like this in mind :-

Could anyone recommend a make and model?
Ben
PS Here's the scoot :-

I use a tommaselli Q A Throttle on both my gp's, they're the horizontal pulley rather than the vertical but much the same. Bit 80's but I like 'em and it makes changing a cable an absolute doddle.

Thanks, that looks perfect. I was going for the 80s look so it will match well.
There's even one on eBay!

How do they actually fit? Do I need to somehow fix the existing throttle in place (bolt, weld?) and the new throttle goes over the top?
There is a great looking Tommaselli throttle on eBay for 7/8" bars. Just measured the current GP throttle and the outer diameter is 25mm which looks about the same.
I guess then that I have to block up the old throttle.

You just have to do away with the old throttle bar, wheel etc. The QA throttle will then slip over the handlebar end, very easy. You will need to route the cable through the headset though. I run mine parrallel to the hydraulic hose between the top and bottom, easiest way really. The SLJ 1's are pretty good too if you want to keep a standard look. Hope this helps.

That looks like a good solution for a standard full body scoot where you want to preserve the original lines. I'm not bothered about looks in this case. In fact the sillier the better

Cheers for confirming that, my metric to imperial conversion was a bit off.

Thanks Vicvega, that helps a lot. I've ordered a Tommaselli throttle from eBay.

Hi Fellas
A quick update on this. Throttle arrived from eBay UK in 36 hours but I've had a terrible time with extra long throttle cables. Two have come from eBay without the small nipple at the carb end. Finally I got some tiny solderless nipples from Welsh Scooter Parts but I'd prefer to have a proper soldered connection.
Any ideas?
Just went for a test run around the block and it's working really well. Don't know why I didn't fit one ages ago.
Thanks again
Ben
